The Bowes Museum After School Club runs every Wednesday afternoon during term-time from 3.45pm - 4.45pm. Our After School Club members take part in lots of art-based activities such as, ceramic painting, bag making and puppet making. We even entered the Barnard Castle Scarecrow Festival this year, making our own life size John & Josephine Bowes!

After School Club members decide each half-term what project they would like to do next. In 2005 they spent 10 weeks with Artist Vicky Holbrough making moving swans, when finished their wonderful creations were displayed in the galleries.

The Museum has achieved 'Investing in Children' status because of its work with the children at the After School Club.
