Refreshments

Tours, Lectures & Gallery Talks
The Curatorial team at the Museum can provide specialist lectures and Gallery Talks, while the Friends of The Bowes Museum offer free introductory tours (after hours Friends tours are charged at £2.00 per person.) Gift Shop
Whilst taking a break, browse through our recently extended Shop to find that perfect souvenir, or choose a special gift including books, toys, crafts, cards and confectionery.
Access
The Bowes Museum has level access to most areas including all Exhibitions and Galleries, Shop and Café Bowes. Services include accessible entrance, accessible toilets, visitor lift, large print floor plans, Loop System in the Jubilee Room, and audio visuals with sub-titles. Wheelchairs are available on request. Assistance dogs welcome. If you have any access requirements please let us know in advance.
